NENUPHAR Outreach at “Water and Climate Change” Workshop in Veľký Meder, Slovakia

NENUPHAR communication activity took place at a specialized workshop on Water and Climate Change, organized by Dan-Slovakia Agrar a.s. (DSA), one of Slovakia’s leading agricultural companies. This event was held on June 19, 2025, in Veľký Meder.

This workshop was a targeted event for approximately 60 participants, comprising local farmers and secondary school students from the town of Galanta. The focus was on critical agricultural issues related to water management and climate change, a topic highly relevant to NENUPHAR’s objectives. The organizer, DSA, provided practical demonstrations, such as a mobile irrigation station, highlighting practical solutions in agriculture. SUA-UF’s participation ensured a strong link between academic research and practical farming challenges. SUA-UF arranged a key lecture on climate change, weather extremes, and their impact on agriculture. This provided the essential context for understanding the challenges NENUPHAR aims to address.

Within this environmental block, Prof. Pavol Findura (SUA-UF) specifically introduced the participants to the environmental goals of the NENUPHAR project. This allowed for a direct connection between the broader climate issues and NENUPHAR’s innovative solutions.

The NENUPHAR project was further promoted through the use of a dedicated project roll-up banner. This visual aid reinforced the key messages and provided a clear identity for NENUPHAR during the event.
