Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra (SUA) proudly hosted its annual Scientific Conference of PhD. Students on November 13, 2025. This vital event served as a dynamic platform for young scientists from Slovakia and abroad to present the latest findings from their scientific research activities.
The conference brought together aspiring researchers who shared cutting-edge knowledge across a diverse range of critical fields, including:
- Biotechnology, Applied, and Molecular Biology
- Multifunctional Agriculture
- Environment, Landscape Architecture, and Rural Development
- Animal and Plant Production
- Nutrition, Technology, Quality, and Safety of Food of Animal and Plant Origin
We are absolutely delighted to announce that our talented PhD. student and NENUPHAR team member, Marta Lenartowicz, received the award for the best presentation! Her winning work, titled “Accumulation of potassium in microalgae cultivated in dairy wastewater and their potential as biofertilizer,” was presented in the section of Multifunctional Agriculture, Environment, Landscape Architecture, and Rural Development.
Marta’s outstanding presentation showcased crucial results directly stemming from NENUPHAR’s Work Package 3 (WP3), specifically Task 3.4 on the Technical design of N/P recovery pilot technologies and WP 5 (T5.2.3). Her research directly contributes to the project’s innovative efforts in nutrient recovery from waste streams, demonstrating the potential of microalgae as sustainable biofertilizers and highlighting a key step towards a circular economy in agriculture.
This recognition not only celebrates Marta’s dedication and scientific excellence but also underscores the impactful research being conducted within the NENUPHAR project at SUA.
